Anthony MacDonald

Anthony MacDonald is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in energy trading and origination. Currently serving as Head of Origination at EDF Renewables UK & Ireland since September 2018, MacDonald leads structured origination and route to market initiatives for operational and development portfolios. Prior to this role, MacDonald held positions such as Senior Manager of Commercial Structuring at EDF Energy and Emissions Trader at Carbon Capital Markets. Early career experience includes roles at RWE Trading and Enron Europe Ltd, where MacDonald specialized in power origination, risk management, and trading activities. MacDonald began a professional journey as an I&C Account Manager at Total Gas Marketing and holds a 2:1 degree in Italian and Business Studies from UCL.
