Cam Nielsen

Cam Nielsen is an experienced engineer with a strong background in solar energy and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Solar Engineer at EDF Renewables North America since October 2018, Cam specializes in resource assessment and project design for utility-scale solar projects across Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Prior experience includes roles such as Senior PV Designer and Lead PV Systems Designer at Sunrun, where Cam focused on improving processes and performance in solar design. Cam's educational background includes a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, complemented by research and project management experience in various engineering roles.
