Derrek Barlow

Derrek Barlow, P.E., is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as the Technical Leader for Electrical Design at EDF Renewables North America since August 2019, Derrek leads electrical engineering efforts for the design and construction of Wind, PV, and BESS plants. Previously, Derrek held the position of Senior Electrical Engineer, acting as a subject matter expert across EDF RE's project portfolio. Derrek’s earlier roles include providing electrical engineering support at TC Energy and holding various engineering positions at Bechtel Corporation, where responsibilities included electrical systems engineering, project management, and detailed analysis, particularly in nuclear and power systems. Derrek holds a degree from the University of Houston.
