Jarett Goldsmith

Associate Director, Offshore Turbine Procurement at EDF Renewables

Jarett Goldsmith has extensive experience in the renewable energy industry, particularly in the field of offshore wind. Jarett currently holds the position of Turbine Package Manager at Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind LLC, where they lead the WTG Package team for a large offshore wind project. In addition, Jarett is the Turbine Commercial & Procurement Lead and a member of the Commercial and Procurement Team for the Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind joint venture.

Prior to their current role, Jarett worked at EDF Renewables North America as Associate Director of Offshore Turbine Procurement and Senior Manager of Offshore Procurement & Contracts. In these positions, they were responsible for leading the turbine selection and negotiation of Wind Turbine equipment and logistics contracts for offshore wind plants.

Before joining EDF Renewables, Jarett gained experience at DNV GL as a Senior Project Manager in Independent Engineering. Jarett led project teams in conducting technical due diligence assessments for utility-scale commercial wind projects. Jarett also worked as an Engineer/Project Manager in the Offshore Renewable Energy division, where they provided technical services within North America for the company's Wave and Tidal energy teams.

Earlier in their career, Jarett worked at TECNALIA Research & Innovation, where they focused on investigating technical and economic aspects of floating offshore wind energy. Jarett played a key role in developing methodologies for analyzing the economic feasibility of floating offshore platforms.

Furthermore, Jarett has prior work experience as a California State Beach Lifeguard and as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Computational Earth System Science (ICESS) at UCSB.

Overall, Jarett's work experience demonstrates their expertise and contributions in the field of renewable energy, particularly in the development and procurement of offshore wind projects.

Jarett Goldsmith earned a B.Sc. with Highest Honors in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara in 2009. Jarett then went on to pursue further education, obtaining an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2011. In the same year, they also studied Project Management for Environmental and Energy Engineering at Ecole des Mines de Nantes and IMT Atlantique. Additionally, they obtained an M.Sc. in Management and Engineering of Environment and Energy from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2010.
