Jim Tolan

Jim Tolan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the renewable energy and naval engineering sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Offshore Wind Project Manager at EDF Renewables North America since December 2020, Tolan oversees offshore wind projects in the United States. Prior to this role, Tolan was a Senior Project Manager at K2 Management, providing project management and technical advisory services for both onshore and offshore wind energy projects and solar PV. Tolan's expertise also includes leadership as a Senior Principal Engineer at General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works, where activities involved complex naval shipboard systems and the commissioning of the USS Zumwalt. As President of US Operations at SgurrEnergy, Tolan established the company's US office and previously worked as a Project Manager at Industry & Energy Associates, focusing on electrical power engineering. Tolan's engineering journey began at Gibbs & Cox, Inc., and Zurn Nepco, covering naval design and power generation projects. Tolan holds a BS in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
