Principal Reliability Engineer at EDF Renewables

Ryan O'Connor has over 15 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Ryan started their career at McKinley Medical as an Associate R&D Engineer from January 2005 to September 2006. Ryan then joined Clipper Windpower as a Fleet Reliability Engineer, where they specialized in warranty risk analyses and developed advanced system reliability models for wind turbine drivetrains. Ryan worked at Clipper Windpower for over 5 years, from August 2007 to January 2013. Currently, they are employed at EDF Renewables North America as a Principal Reliability Engineer. In this role, they are responsible for developing and managing opex cash flow models for renewable energy projects and leading technical risk assessments for new technologies. Ryan also develops standards for maintenance planning and budget forecasts for solar, wind, and storage systems.

Ryan O'Connor received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, graduating in 2003.
