Jens Boening

Jens Boening has extensive work experience in the field of weather derivatives and commodities trading. Jens began their career as a Consultant at Accenture in 1999 and then moved on to work as a Business Development Manager at Entergy-Koch Trading from 2001 to 2004. Jens then joined Merrill Lynch Commodities (Europe) as a Vice President, where they focused on commodities and weather origination from 2001 to 2008. Following that, they served as the Managing Director for Europe and Asia at The Climate Corporation (formerly WeatherBill UK) from 2008 to 2009. Currently, Jens holds the position of Head of Weather Derivatives at EDF Trading from 2009.

Jens Boening completed their education at Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences from 1995 to 1999. During this time, they obtained a degree in Business Administration, specifically a Dipl.-Betriebswirt (FH).
