Mike Smith

Mike Smith is an accomplished professional in the energy sector with extensive experience in trading, marketing, and management. Currently serving as the Sr Vice President of Hedging and Optimization at EDF Trading since May 2014, Mike leads the Hedging and Optimization business line, overseeing the Customer Transaction Desk and market hedges for EDF Energy Services. Prior to this role, Mike held various leadership positions, including Managing Director at ENCOA, SVP Origination and Chief Marketing Officer at Champion Energy Services, and Founder and Managing Partner at Mpower Energy Services. Mike's career began in trading and sales at Premier Gas Company, with additional experience at Dynegy in Gulf Coast Origination. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.
