Richard Szép

Richard Szép is an experienced power market analyst currently working at EDF Trading since May 2021, specializing in Central and Eastern European (CEE) and Southeastern European (SEE) power markets. Prior to this role, Richard worked as a forecasting and commodity analyst at SPP from February 2018 to April 2021, focusing on machine learning-based solar power generation forecasts and the fundamental and technical analysis of gas and power markets. Richard also has experience as a Contract Strategy Specialist in natural gas purchase and storage and has completed internships in various organizations, including OMV, the International Visegrad Fund, and the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency. Richard holds a Master of Science degree in Energy and Environmental Management from the University of Vienna and has an exchange semester from National Chiao Tung University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in International Economics and International Relations from Ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave.
