Gene Barker

Gene Barker has worked as an Investment Director at Wipunen Incrementum Capital since 2020, where they selectively invest in Australasian and Southeast Asian companies that have substantial growth potential. In 2022, they will become the Head of Capital Markets at Edge Centres, a company that is building a global platform of highly modular, highly sustainable Edge Pods capable of bringing ultra-low-latency connectivity and compute resources closer to the end-user. Since 2013, they have been the Managing Partner of little fish Capital, which aims to complete a portfolio of investments that represent new avenues into existing Australian sectors of excellence. Gene founded Claisebrook Design Community in 2015, and they have served as Executive Chairman of Super Rewards since 2019. Gene was also a Director at FoodCube from 2016 to 2022.

Gene Barker earned a Bachelor of Economics degree from The University of Western Australia in the years of 1999 to 2002. Later, in 2012 to 2013, Gene attended EDHEC Business School where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Corporate Finance.
