Joshua Courtney has a diverse work experience in the energy and sustainability sector. Joshua worked at EDGE Energy as a Program Manager, where they managed contracts with multiple nonprofits and oversaw energy efficiency upgrades to customers' homes. Joshua'sresponsibilities included project management, working with government departments, writing purchase orders, and providing invoices. Prior to this, Joshua served as an Intern/Interim Sustainability Manager at the City of Takoma Park. Joshua also gained experience as a Renewable Choice Intern at Xcel Energy and worked as a Valet/Bell/Driver at Hotel Teatro.
Joshua Courtney completed their education in the field of environmental science and policy. Joshua obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc degree in Environmental Science from Oregon State University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Environmental Policy and Management with a focus on energy from the University of Denver, attending from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, Joshua has obtained several certifications related to their field of expertise, including BPI Building Analyst Professional and BPI Envelope Professional certifications from the Building Performance Institute, Inc. in January 2020. Joshua also holds a LEED Green Associate certification from USGBC, obtained in September 2019.
