Alex Pakalniskis 3

Alex Pakalniskis has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Currently, they are a Product Manager at Edge & Node since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a DAO member at Graph BuildersDAO starting from June 2023, and as a Lecturer at CSULB Geography from March 2023. Alex also has experience as a Product Engineer at Esri from October 2021 to May 2023. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Tools and Support Engineer at SimplePractice from November 2020 to October 2021, and as a Technical Support Engineer at the same company from November 2020 to July 2021. Before that, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Arizona and as a Graduate Research Assistant and Geography Computer Lab Tech at California State University, Long Beach. Alex also gained experience as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Intern at the City of Santa Monica, Information Systems Department. Additionally, Alex has been actively involved in DAOs, such as IndexerDAO and Graph AdvocatesDAO, contributing to their missions and initiatives.

Alex Pakalniskis 3 completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at UCLA from 2011 to 2014. Following this, from 2015 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Geography at California State University, Long Beach. In 2020, Alex attended BloomTech for a short period, focusing on Data Science, but did not obtain a degree. Before attending UCLA, they completed an IGETC at Santa Monica College from 2009 to 2011.

In terms of additional certifications, Alex obtained a certification in Data Science and Machine Learning from Lambda School in September 2020. In March 2018, they obtained a certification in sUAS - Remote Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration. Additionally, in February 2022, Alex obtained two certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), both granted by the Scrum Alliance.
