Ian Hilsdon

Ian Hilsdon has a diverse work experience in the field of network engineering and technology. Ian began their career at BellSouth YellowPages.com as a Web Consultant in 2006. Ian then moved on to work as a Project Coordinator at Web.com in 2007 before joining Deloitte as a Technology Analyst in 2008.

After a successful tenure at Deloitte, Ian joined Pull-A-Part in 2013 as a Lead IT Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for managing the network infrastructure and systems of the corporate office, call center, and remote retail locations. Ian worked extensively on maintaining Cisco switches, ASA firewalls, Meraki appliances, and Fortigate firewall. Additionally, they managed the connectivity between various locations and performed server migrations.

In 2016, Ian joined InterDev, LLC as a Network & Systems Engineer III. During their time at InterDev, they worked on various projects related to network design, implementation, and troubleshooting for local government clients. Ian served as an escalation point for network, server, and storage issues. Additionally, they worked on network automation and implemented various network security measures.

Ian then moved on to RaceTrac Petroleum in 2018 as a Network Engineer before returning to InterDev in the same year as a Network Architect. In this position, Ian worked on project-based design, implementation, and troubleshooting of networks/systems primarily for local government clients. Ian played a key role in designing and implementing network migrations, configuring network connectivity between cloud environments and data centers, and deploying and managing firewalls.

Most recently, Ian joined Edge Solutions LLC in 2021 as a Senior Network Consultant.

Ian Hilsdon attended Kaplan University from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Applied Technology. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2005, they attended Chattahoochee Technical College and obtained an Associate of Applied Technology degree in CIS Internet Specialist. In terms of additional certifications, Ian obtained a variety of qualifications including the Cisco DevNet Class of 2020 certification, the Fortinet NSE 4 Network Security Professional certification, the Citrix NetScaler SD-WAN Certified (CC-SDWAN) certification, the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Routing and Switching (CCIE Routing and Switching) certification, the VMware Certified Professional 6 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP6-DCV) certification, the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Routing & Switching) certification, the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA Routing & Switching) certification, the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) certification, and the Cisco Certified DevNet Associate certification.
