Leon Jenkins

Leon Jenkins is an experienced educator with a career spanning over two decades in various teaching roles. Currently a teacher at Edgecombe County Public Schools since January 2004, Leon Jenkins has focused on developing and implementing student-centered lessons for both special and regular education students. Prior experience includes serving as an instructor for ABE/GED at Vance Granville Community College, where a curriculum was developed for mixed-level classes, and a teaching position at Weldon City Schools, where lessons were planned for a diverse, multi-ethnic classroom. Leon Jenkins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology with a concentration in Elementary Education from Coppin State University, completed in 1992.

The Edgecombe County Public School System (ECPS) is located in a uniquely forward-thinking eastern North Carolina community filled with a rich history dating back to the days of George Washington.
