Rémi Matthey-Doret, PhD, is currently a Software Engineer at Edgelab since February 2022. Previously, Rémi served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Bern from May 2020 to November 2021, working on computational methodologies in the Computational and Molecular Population Genetics Lab under supervisors Laurent Excoffier and Kim Gilbert. Rémi has extensive teaching experience, having been a teaching assistant for courses in Evolutionary Biology and Population Genetics, as well as Applied Biostatistics, engaging with students from Bachelor to PhD levels. Rémi completed a PhD in Computational Genetics at The University of British Columbia, where also coordinated a biostatistics lab and assisted in teaching multiple biostatistics courses. Rémi holds a Master of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Lausanne and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Université de Neuchâtel.
