Gideon Carroll is an accomplished finance professional and entrepreneur with a robust background in the energy sector. As the Founder and CEO of Edge Petrol Ltd since July 2016, Gideon has demonstrated strong leadership and innovation. Prior to this role, Gideon served as Financial Controller at Gazprom Marketing & Trading from July 2015 to July 2016. In a significant tenure at Trafigura from November 2009 to April 2015, Gideon held multiple positions, including Senior Trading Business Controller for Oil, Bulk, and Non-Ferrous commodities, as well as Deals Desk Manager and Project Manager. Gideon is a qualified Chartered Accountant, having completed the ICAEW qualification between 2006 and 2009, and holds a degree in Financial Economics from the University of Leicester, obtained between 2003 and 2006.
