Udit Kumar, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of VLSI and 5G technology. In this role, they contributed to the development of 5G IP and solutions and led the team in developing Automotive Ethernet-specific IP. Udit also worked on various standard protocol IPs such as JESD204B, JESD204C, CPRI, Automotive PHY, timing synchronization (gPTP), and frame preemption.

During their tenure at Synopsys Inc, Udit served as an R&D Engineer, Sr II, leading the team for Clock Domain Crossing (CDC) product validation. Udit was responsible for overall product quality and performance of existing solutions, as well as developing next-generation solutions.

Udit also gained experience as a Consulting Software Engineer at Atrenta and as a Staff Engineer at STMicroelectronics, where they worked on RTL design, methodologies, and internal CAD solutions development for various projects, including the development of a CDC methodology for IP & SoC.

At the beginning of their career, Udit worked as a Member Technical Staff - Chip Engg at Digibee Microsystems, focusing on front-end development for GSM mobile SoCs, including RTL design, verification, and interface module verification.

Udit Kumar, PhD, began their education in 2001 at UPTU, where they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in ECE. Udit completed their undergraduate studies in 2005. In 2006, they enrolled at CDAC (Mumbai) for a PG Diploma in VLSI design, which they completed within the same year. Udit then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, specializing in Semiconductor. Udit started their doctoral program in 2009 and successfully completed it in 2015, earning their Ph.D. in the field of Semiconductor.
