Ian Smith

Ian Smith has extensive work experience in various roles within the IT industry. Ian began their career as a Sound Technician/Operator at The New School in 1997. Ian then worked as a Field Technician/Assistant Sound Designer at Ins and Outs before becoming a Systems Engineer at Production Arts Lighting. In this role, they managed vendors and supply-chain to deliver multiple projects on time and under budget.

In 2001, Ian joined Production Resource Group, L.L.C. as a Regional IT&S Manager, responsible for IT infrastructure. Ian later became the Director of Information Technology, overseeing the expansion of IT infrastructure for the company. In 2012, they were promoted to Vice President of Information Technology Engineering, where they managed IT operations and successfully delivered numerous mergers and acquisitions.

In 2016, Ian joined Edgestream Partners, L.P. as an Infrastructure Engineer in the Production Team and later became the Head of Platform Infrastructure and Chief Information Security Officer in 2020. Ian'sresponsibilities included infrastructure engineering, active directory migrations, provisioning of IT services, network deployment, and security.

Throughout their career, Ian has shown a strong ability to handle high-pressure environments, collaborate with different teams, and deliver projects efficiently.

Ian Smith attended Ithaca College from 1993 to 1995, where they studied Music Performance. In 1995, they then went on to Cornell University for one year, studying Theatre Arts as a nonmatriculated student. Later, in 2000, Ian attended Mercer County Community College, focusing on Chemistry. In the same year, they also briefly attended Rutgers University, studying Mathematics as a nonmatriculated student.
