Akbar Albarran Nieva

Akbar Albarran Nieva has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and telecommunications. Akbar started their career at Alcatel-Lucent, where they worked as an Optinex Installations Scholarship for a period of six months. Akbar then moved on to Iusacell, where they worked as a Systems Analyst for three years. During this time, they gained experience in monitoring and managing servers, troubleshooting, and resolving high-level network impacts.

After Iusacell, Akbar joined IBM as a System Analyst and Monitoring specialist. Their responsibilities included monitoring server performance, disk space, log files, and Linux processes. Akbar also managed servers from different manufacturers and played a key role in preventing failures and resolving network issues.

In 2012, Akbar joined Ericsson as an Integration Engineer. Akbar gained expertise in IPTV and OTT solutions, working on design, implementation, cabinet expansions, and final delivery for TV solutions. Akbar also carried out end-to-end integration for solutions requiring various video protocols, encoding, security measures, networking, server configuration, and STB management.

Their most recent role was at Edgeware AB as a Field System Engineer. Here, Akbar showcased their proficiency in integrating Edgeware CDN solutions with different service providers like Seachange, Mirada, Ericsson Middleware, and VSPP. Akbar managed various video services provided by Edgeware, utilizing live IPTV, recording IPTV, live HTTP, and recording HTTP solutions. Akbar also worked with different product solutions like Live Ingest, Origins, Request Routers, Streamers, and Repackaging.

Throughout their career, Akbar has demonstrated their ability to adapt to different technologies and work effectively in dynamic environments. Their experience includes project management, system analysis, integration, troubleshooting, and network monitoring.

Akbar Albarran Nieva began their education in 2001 at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, where they pursued a degree in Communication and Electronics Engineering. Akbar specialized in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications and successfully completed their studies in 2005. Alongside this degree, Akbar also pursued a degree in Ingeniería de telecomunicaciones at the same institution, extending their education until 2006.
