James Smith is Edgewater’s President, and Chief Executive Officer, and serves on Edgewater’s Board of Managers. In this role, he is responsible for developing the company’s vision, culture, and infrastructure, and ensuring successful execution of its business strategies while instilling a culture of high standards for quality and excellence among the Employee/Management Team.
James has nearly 40 years of experience in reactors, spent fuel, and high-level waste operations, with extensive project leadership experience in Integrated Safety Management and Plant Operations of Nuclear and High Hazard Facilities. His specialties include the leadership, administration, and management of large government contracts, engineering, construction, startup, and operations of high-hazard, complex, nuclear, and chemical facilities. Before joining Edgewater’s senior management team in 2013, James served as Vice President of the URS GMOS office, having served the legacy group of URS companies for over 35 years.
