David Padilla is an experienced educator and case manager with a strong background in both teaching and administrative roles. Currently serving as a 6th Grade STEM Elective Teacher at South San Antonio Independent School District since August 2017 and a Case Manager at BCFS Health & Human Services since September 2016, David also has a significant history as a 5th Grade Teacher at Edgewood ISD since October 2013. Previously, David held the position of Assistant Principal of Operations at IDEA Public Schools from 2009 to 2011, where responsibilities included managing operational budgets, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating with various school personnel. David Padilla earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin, where attendance spanned from 1979 to 1984, preceded by graduation from La Feria High School in 1979.
