Heather Bernard has been working in the education field since 2015. Heather started as an Infant Teacher at Tiny Treasures Daycare & Learning Center in October 2015 and then became a Lead Preschool Teacher at THE PILLARS CHRISTIAN LEARNING CENTER, INC. from February 2016 to October 2016. After that, they worked at San Antonio ISD, where they had several roles including PPCD Instructional Assistant from October 2016 to June 2017, Kindergarten Resident Teacher from July 2017 to June 2018, and Pre Kindergarten Teacher from June 2018 to July 2022. From July 2022 to July 2023, they worked as an English Second Language Teacher at Pre-K 4 SA. Currently, Heather is working as a Head Start Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Edgewood ISD since August 2023.
Heather Bernard completed their education at various institutions over the years. Heather obtained an Associate of Arts in Teaching degree from Northwest Vista College from 2009 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts Interdisciplinary Studies degree at The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2011 to 2013, focusing on education. In 2017, Heather enrolled at Relay Graduate School of Education and successfully obtained a Master's of Arts in Teaching degree by 2019. Heather has also acquired additional certifications including CPR/AED/First Aid from the American Red Cross in August 2022, and Core subjects EC-6 and English As A Second Language Supplemental from the Texas Education Agency in June 2019.
