Marit Miedema

Marit Miedema is a dedicated community educator at Edina Public Schools since September 2019, specializing in voter engagement strategies during previous roles as a deputy field organizer for Athena Hollins for State House and a field organizer for several political campaigns including Hunter Cantrell for MN State Representative and Raymond Dehn for Minneapolis. Miedema's experience includes working with the Democratic Party and the Democratic Farmer Labor Party, where responsibilities encompassed data entry, student outreach, event organization, and canvassing. Prior to a political career, Miedema worked as a barista at Chatime and as a scheduling clerk for COKeM International. An academic background includes dual Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Government, as well as Scandinavian Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from the University of Minnesota, completed in 2018.
