Edinburgh Cask Reserve (ECR) is an advisory and sourcing platform focused on high-quality Scotch whisky casks held for long-term ownership.

We work with private clients seeking structured exposure to the whisky cask market, with an emphasis on asset quality, clear ownership, and informed decision-making over time.

ECR operates through established partnerships within the Scotch whisky ecosystem, enabling access to casks with verified provenance, transparent documentation, and custody within HMRC-regulated bonded warehouses.

Our role is to guide clients across the ownership lifecycle — from acquisition and due diligence through to maturation strategy and eventual exit considerations — with a long-term, fundamentals-led approach.

ECR works with a limited number of clients and partners. Engagements are selective and typically established via referral or direct introduction.
