Jon-Luke Kirton

Jon-Luke Kirton is currently a Lecturer in Music at Edinburgh Napier University since August 2023 and has been a Lecturer in Music Performance at Edinburgh College since November 2014, where responsibilities include coaching over 60 students on the classical music course. Previous roles include Musical Director for THE BOHEMIANS (2015-2016) and Choir Leader for Glee Club UK Ltd. (2014). Additionally, Jon-Luke has worked as a self-employed musician, providing services as a Music Director, Accompanist, and Repetiteur from July 2012 to December 2014, and served as a Visiting Piano Teacher at Bedford Girls' School. Experience as a Repetiteur and Vocal Coach is highlighted through roles at Edinburgh Grand Opera and Birmingham Midland Opera. Jon-Luke's educational background includes a PhD in Music from the University of Glasgow, an Mmus in Repetiteurship from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and a Bmus (hons) in Music (Piano) from Birmingham Conservatoire.
