Colin McGill

Colin McGill is an accomplished academic and educator currently serving as an Associate Professor and Lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University since April 2019. In addition, Colin holds the position of External Examiner for the MEd Inclusive Practice program at the University of Aberdeen since January 2024. Previously, Colin was a Principal Teacher of Curriculum - Science and Teacher at West Lothian Council from August 2007 to April 2019, and also worked as a Development Officer (Sciences) for Education Scotland from September 2015 to April 2016. Other roles include a probation teacher position at South Lanarkshire Council and a scientist at Avecia Ltd. Colin's educational background includes a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Stirling, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning, Teaching and Assessment in Higher Education from Edinburgh Napier University.
