Diane MacLean

Diane MacLean currently serves as the Dean of the School of Arts and Creative Industries at Edinburgh Napier University, a position held since January 2012. With extensive experience in academia and the media industry, Diane has also been the Head of Screen and Media at the university and has contributed to the Caledonian Mercury as a writer. Additionally, Diane has continued their involvement in documentary filmmaking as a documentary-maker for Sorbier Productions since 2010. Previous roles include Channel Editor and Writer at The Scotsman and Director/Producer at the BBC, where a wide range of productions were handled from live shows to documentaries. Diane holds a PhD in Documentary and Ethnography from Edinburgh Napier University and an MA in Screenwriting from the same institution.
