Duncan Mascarenhas PhD C.Psychol FHEA is an Associate Professor in Sport & Exercise Psychology & Coaching at Edinburgh Napier University since December 2017, where Duncan leads the world's first Master's degree for Sports Officials, the MSc Performance Enhancement in Sports Officiating. With extensive experience as a Consultant Sports Officiating Performance Psychologist since January 1998, Duncan has served as a self-employed Sport & Exercise Psychologist from 2001 to 2018, and held various academic roles including Senior Lecturer and Researcher at Wrexham Glyndŵr University from 2005 to 2017, and Postdoc Applied Researcher at the University of Otago and Soccer NZ in 2004-2005. Duncan also worked as the Sport Psychology Project Manager for RFU Elite Referees and as a Research Associate at The University of Edinburgh. Duncan holds a PhD in Sports Officiating and Team Decision Making from The University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Sport Psychology from Manchester Metropolitan University.
