Edgar Helbig

Edgar Helbig is an experienced maritime professional, currently serving as Chief Mate at Edison Chouest Offshore since January 2022. Previous roles include Mate at Bordelon Marine and Captain at Guice Offshore LLC, where Edgar was responsible for operating a DP-Supply Vessel. As the Owner of Helbig Marine from August 2015 to July 2019, Edgar managed yacht operations including maintenance and charters, and was the Captain of the 80' Hatteras Motor Yacht Destiny IV. Edgar has held multiple Captain/Master positions at Edison Chouest Offshore, Hornblower Marine Services, Romeo Papa Marine, and Global Yachts International, demonstrating extensive expertise in vessel operation and management. Education includes advanced training in maritime navigation, safety, and emergency response from several esteemed institutions.
