Elisa Scarpa has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Elisa began their career in 2001 as an Economist at Assolombarda, where they were responsible for analyzing and drafting monthly reports. Elisa later worked as a Teaching Assistant at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore - CRELI from 2002 to 2004. In 2002, they also joined FEEM Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei as a Senior Energy Markets Researcher.

Scarpa then transitioned to the finance sector, working as a Credit Risk Analyst at Intesa Sanpaolo from 2006 to 2007. Elisa then joined Edison trading S.p.A. as the Head of Market Analysis and Forecasting for the Market Strategy & Derivatives desk. This role lasted from 2007 to 2012.

Elisa Scarpa completed their undergraduate studies in Economics at Università Bocconi from 1993 to 2001. In 2005-2006, they pursued a Master's degree in Energy Finance and Trading with a focus on energy engineering, energy economics, quantitative methods for finance, and energy finance at Politecnico di Milano. In 2011, they attended the School of Management - Cranfield University for a short-term course on managing people. Elisa also took part in a program called Leading@EDF at HEC in 2012. Additionally, Elisa attended the Cide - Summer school of econometrics in 2002-2003.
