Jieni Xu

Jieni Xu is the Head of Delivery Science at Editas Medicine since September 2024, previously serving as Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist at Kernal Biologics from April 2021 to September 2024. Before that, Jieni Xu worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Phosphorex, focusing on polymeric and lipid nanoparticle formulations for nucleic acids and gene therapy. Jieni Xu's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh, where extensive research involved designing cationic polymeric nanocarriers for gene delivery. An MBA in Health Sector Management was obtained from Boston University, featuring education in pharmacy from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University.
