Judith Newmark

Judith Newmark is an experienced professional in the field of pharmacology and toxicology, currently serving as the Associate Director of In Vivo Gene Editing at Editas Medicine since September 2021. In this role, Judith directs in vivo pharmacology and toxicology strategies for the gene editing pipeline, overseeing animal model development and executing preclinical studies. Judith’s prior experience includes positions as Associate Director of Translational Research and various roles at AGTC, focusing on pharmacology studies related to recombinant AAV therapeutics. Judith's background also encompasses program management at Toxikon Corporation, scientific application development at CompuCyte, and significant research work at Northeastern University, where Judith earned a Ph.D. in Biology.
