Robert Newton

Robert Newton is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in exercise medicine, particularly its applications in cancer therapy. Currently serving as a Professor of Exercise Medicine at Edith Cowan University since February 2003, Robert's research focuses on the role of exercise in enhancing the effectiveness of surgical and medical treatments for cancer while improving patient quality of life. Robert holds numerous leadership and advisory positions, including roles as Associate Dean and Head of School at Edith Cowan University, Honorary Professor at multiple institutions, and inaugural Director of the Vario Health Institute. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Science in Exercise Oncology and a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics from respected universities.
