John Burnett

John Burnett is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector and major action sports events. Currently serving as Business Development Manager and Technical Development Manager at Energy Developments since November 2018, John has a solid background as Technical Director at GHD from October 2008 to November 2018, where responsibilities included project management in the Power service group. Prior to this, John was a Director at Freeride Consulting Pty Ltd, overseeing significant wakeboarding events and serving as a competition manager and promoter for various prestigious competitions. John’s earlier career involved roles as Senior Mechanical Engineer and Commissioning Manager at Energy Developments, focusing on reciprocating power stations. A graduate of The University of Queensland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, John has also contributed to wakeboarding media and served as founding president of the Queensland Wakeboard Association.
