Ivan Barron

Ivan Barron as Chief Technology Officer leads in developing EDMI’s technologies and technical capabilities, and is responsible for setting the Group’s technology direction.

Since joining EDMI in 1994, Ivan has been a significant contributor to EDMI’s main product lines, leading product development teams to create the ranges of smart meter, and cementing his credentials as an international innovator. He received the IEC 1906 Award from the Standards Australia and the Australian National Committee of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in 2020.

Ivan holds an Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia.
