Dan Mirau

Director, Branch Services & Community Engagement at EDMONTON PUBLIC LIBRARY

Dan Mirau, MLIS, currently serves as the Director of Branch Services and Community Engagement at the Edmonton Public Library since June 2023. With an extensive career at Concordia University of Edmonton spanning from September 1999 to 2023, Dan held several key positions including Director of the Arnold Guebert Library and Archives, where exemplary collaboration and service delivery were established. Previous roles include Director of Learning Enhancement Projects and Associate Reference Librarian, among others. Additionally, Dan contributed to The Alberta Library as Board Chair from April 2012 to April 2015 and chaired the TAL Post Secondary Library Directors Standing Committee from April 2010 to April 2012. Educational qualifications include a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religious Studies from McGill University.
