Sandra D. is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in sales and technical roles within the scientific community. Currently serving as the Regional Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland at Edmund Optics since February 2020, Sandra previously held positions as a Sales and Applications Engineer at the same company, and as a Chemical Decommissioning Officer at Loughborough University, where responsibilities included developing sustainable systems for the safe disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, contributing to research on the analysis of high-tech metals and participating in national and international conferences. Sandra holds a PhD in Chemistry from Loughborough University and a Master of Science in Geoscience, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Geology/Mineralogy from TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
