Engineering at EDO

Suresh Rajagopalan is currently an engineering at EDO. Prior to this, they worked as a senior lead technologist at Booz Allen Hamilton from October 2017 to September 2021. There, they helped several federal agencies in building enterprise wide analytical capabilities and cloud migration/adoption. Suresh also enabled enterprise data architecture at GSA FCS to become a single provider of Data Management and Governance services by designing, building and deploying capabilities for Data Management, Data Catalog & metadata management, Scalable cluster compute services on AWS. In addition, they architected a multi-tenant, scalable and secure Enterprise wide Data Analytics Capability on AWS for Department of Labor using Microservices, AWS Cloudfront, S3, EMR, Tableau and IAM. Data Science, analytics, Reporting, Search and Data Marketplace are some of the key capabilities in the pipeline. Finally, they implemented a Data & Analytics platform at ARPA-E – part of Department of Energy. This platform provides the tools and the ability to measure and analyze impacts across ARPA-E’s mission critical areas a first of its kind self-assessment platform among federal agencies. Responsibilities including overall architecture of the platform and implementation of some individual components. Architecture involves data ingestion, cleaning and transformation (structured & unstructured) – using Python; NoSQL database for storage; Network Analysis using Graph database; Search platform using Apache Solr; Modelling & collaboration using R, Python via Jup

Suresh Rajagopalan has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Loyola College in Maryland and a Master of Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science. Suresh also has a Master of Arts (Honors) from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Suresh is certified in Microsoft Azure Data and SnowPro Core Certification from Snowflake, and AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services.

Suresh Rajagopalan reports to Mark Berner, VP, Engineering. They are on a team with Russell Delancy - Engineering, Alan Tang - Engineering, and Calvin Sheen - Engineering.
