Ahammad Jubaer Ali

Ahammad Jubaer Ali has a comprehensive and varied work experience. Ahammad started their career at HLB International as a Chartered Accountancy (CA) articled student. Ahammad then worked at Axiata Bangladesh Ltd., where they served as a Deputy Manager, responsible for business planning, financial reporting, insurance/ERM, and funding arrangements. Ahammad later joined Robi Axiata Limited as a Manager in Corporate Strategy before moving to Telekom Malaysia (TMI) as a Manager in Finance and Subsidiaries Management. Their role in TMI involved assisting operating companies with funding, bank guarantee, and performance management during the demerger exercise between Telekom Malaysia and TMI. Ahammad then returned to Robi Axiata Limited in the role of Manager in Corporate Strategy.

Moving forward, Ahammad joined Axiata Group Berhad (formerly known as TM International Berhad) as a Manager in Corporate Finance & Merger and Acquisitions. After that, they worked at Robi Axiata Limited in various executive roles, including Vice President in Business Strategy, Executive Vice President in Corporate Management and Strategic Planning, and Head of Integrated Planning in the Finance Division. Ahammad was also the Executive Vice President in charge of the Enterprise PMO (Program Management Office) and held the position of Project Director for Merger Integration on an interim basis.

Currently, Ahammad is working at the edotco Group as the Director of Finance. In this position, they are responsible for developing, organizing, planning, evaluating, and implementing financial strategies, structures, and process-procedures to enhance shareholder return. Ahammad is also responsible for financial compliance, supply chain management, and property management. Additionally, they have served as the Caretaker Country Managing Director & Director of Finance.

Ahammad Jubaer Ali began their education journey by obtaining their SSC degree in Commerce from Ideal School and College in 1991. Ahammad then pursued Higher Secondary education in Science at Notre Dame College from 1991 to 1993. In 1996, they completed their Master's degree in Commerce from National University in Bangladesh.

In 2001, Ahammad Jubaer Ali enrolled in Chartered Accountants Bangladesh and successfully completed their CA [Intermediate] degree in 2005. Ahammad then pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) in Finance and Financial Management Services from North South University from 2014 to 2016.

To further supplement their education, Ahammad Jubaer Ali obtained the Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2016. In 2020, they completed the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) program from the Institute of Certified Management Accountants in Australia.

Ahammad Jubaer Ali continued their educational journey by earning a Certified Islamic Accountant (CIA) certification in Islamic Banking and Accounting from the Academy of Finance and Management Australia - AFMA in 2023.

Throughout their career, Ahammad Jubaer Ali also acquired additional certifications. In 2008, they received a Certificate of Acknowledgement from Telekom Malaysia for their contribution towards the TM demerger exercise. In 2017, they completed a Strategy program from INSEAD Executive Education. Lastly, in 2021, they obtained the Harvard AXcelerator: Advancing Next-Gen Leaders certification from Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning.
