João Francisco Gonçalves has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Chief of Staff to an Executive Board Member at EDP since July 2022, with a focus on renewable generation, digital technologies, and safety. Prior to this role, João spent six years at EDP Comercial, advancing from Business Analyst to Strategy & Acceleration Project Leader, where responsibilities included leading and delivering projects related to EDP’s business strategy across various European markets. João's early career includes a business development internship at EDP and a marketing strategy internship at MARKETIVIDADE. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, both from Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics.
