Marco Pinheiro

Marco Pinheiro serves as the Head of Data & AI - Strategy, Technology and Governance at EDP since December 2011, overseeing teams focused on Data Governance, Data Architecture and Engineering, IoT, MLOps, and Advanced Analytics. Previously, Marco held positions including Head of Data Leap & AI and Lead Project Engineer, contributing significantly to various Big Data projects and advanced analytics initiatives. Experience extends to roles at Portugal Telecom as an Engineer, INOV as a Researcher, IST as a Teacher, and Movensis as a Developer. Marco holds a PhD in Computer Science and Computer Engineering with a focus on Advanced Analytics, along with an MSc in Information Systems and Software Engineering and a BSc in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico.
