Frode Halvorsen

Frode Halvorsen has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Frode started their career at SINTEF as a PhD student and later became a Scientist. In 2005, they joined Engineering Data Resources (EDR) as a Technical Consultant and eventually became the Technical Manager. In 2012, Halvorsen transitioned to EDRMedeso Simulation as the Director of Technical Services and then moved up to become the Vice President of Technology. From 2019 to 2022, they served as the Head of Technology Innovation at the same company. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Technology Officer, leading the Technology & Innovation organization and overseeing product development, vendor and industry expansion.

Frode Halvorsen has a strong educational background in the fields of Scientific Computing/Solid Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering. Frode earned their PhD in Scientific Computing/Solid Mechanics from the University of Oslo (UiO) between 2002 and 2005. Prior to that, they completed their MSc in Mechanical Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1997 to 2002. In addition, they obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley Extension during their time from 2000 to 2001. Furthermore, they hold a certification in Internet of Things: Business Implications and Opportunities from MIT Sloan Executive Education, which they obtained in April 2019.
