Niko Pietari Niemelä

Niko Pietari Niemelä is a Senior Application Engineer at EDRMedeso Simulation, specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software products since September 2022, and is responsible for consulting, product development, technical sales support, customer training, and software support. Prior to this role, Niko served as a University Teacher and Doctoral Researcher at Tampere University from April 2017 to September 2022, focusing on numerical modeling and conducting research on pulverized biomass combustion. Niko has a rich teaching background, having taught courses on Hydraulic Network Modeling and worked as a Project Researcher at Tampere University of Technology, with a Master's thesis in biomass pyrolysis and combustion optimization. Niko holds a D.Sc. (Tech) in Energy Engineering from Tampere University and has completed various exchange and research visits at prestigious institutions, including Technical University of Munich and Technische Universität Dresden.
