Nick S. has a diverse work experience in various software engineering roles. Nick started their career as a Junior Software Engineer and Front-end Junior Software Engineer at AMP in 2017. Later that year, they worked on a collaborative iOS project with Commonwealth Bank. In 2016, Nick interned as an Android Developer at William Hill, where they gained valuable experience in enterprise Android application architecture.
From 2016 to 2019, Nick worked at OCTO Technology, first as a Web App Engineer on an internal geolocation-based game project, and then as a Software Engineer, creating state-of-the-art solutions for various clients. Nick also worked on a data extraction and transformation project as a Data Engineer at nbn™ Australia, as a part of an OCTO mission.
In 2018, Nick worked at Amadeus on a Proof of Concept project for Qantas, implementing a new payment platform called QPay. Nick also worked at OnlinePajak from 2019 to 2020 as a Software Engineer, building frontend and backend solutions using technologies like Kotlin, React, and AWS.
Most recently, Nick joined Fupay in 2021 as a Software Engineer, where they are involved in developing the next generation of a Buy Now Pay Later platform for micro-loans.
In November 2021, Nick started working at Edstart as a Software Engineer.
Nick S. attended UTS College from 2014 to 2015, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Information Technology. From 2014 to 2017, they attended the University of Technology Sydney, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
In addition to their formal education, Nick obtained several certifications. In March 2015, they completed the CCNA Routing and Switching certification from the Cisco Networking Academy. In December 2016, they obtained certifications in various technical areas from Lynda.com, including Adding Google Maps to Android Apps, Android SDK Unit Testing, Building Flexible Android Apps with the Fragments API, Electronics Foundations: Fundamentals, Foundations of Programming: Data Structures, and iOS 10 App Development Essentials 1: Create Your First App.
