Shakil Ahmed

Shakil Ahmed is a seasoned professional in the fields of education, futurism, and public affairs. Currently serving as a Specialist and Country Lead for Bangladesh at EdTech Hub since October 2021, Shakil also holds roles as a Futurist at Ridiculous Futures and as Resident Futurist and National Consultant for Blended Learning at the a2i Programme. Previous experience includes management at Acumen Academy and leadership positions at Teach For Bangladesh, focusing on educational equity and social justice. Shakil's early career involved roles in research and partnerships at Energy Carta, project direction for business education trips with Global Organisations, teaching various subjects, and reporting for New Age. Shakil is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Futures Studies from Tamkang University, having earned a Master of Education from BRAC University and a Bachelor's degree from the National University of Singapore.
