Fares Farhan

Fares Farhan has extensive work experience in design and user experience. Fares is currently working as a Design Mentor at adplist.org. Previously, they held the position of Design Director at SG-EDTS, where they led a team of Product Managers and Product Designers in the digital transformation unit. Fares also worked as a Principal Designer at Chocaholic, where they defined the design direction for various clients and coordinated with developers and designers for implementation. Fares served as the Head of User Experience & Design in the Technology and Innovation Group at PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk. Prior to that, they held the position of VP - Principal Designer, User Experience & Design in the Consumer Banking Group at DBS Bank, where they led the design effort for mobile banking applications. Fares also worked as a Lead UI Designer at Dropbox, Xamarin, and LJ Systemutveckling AB, where they were responsible for visual and interaction design. Fares started their career as a System Developer at Vialis Asia Pacific and worked as a GUI Engineer at Multisoft Indonesia.

Fares Farhan completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology from Universitas Pasundan Bandung. Fares attended this university from 1996 to 2001. Prior to that, they studied Audio Electronics at Sekolah Teknologi Menengah Negeri 2 Bandung from 1993 to 1996, although they did not obtain a degree in this field. In addition to their formal education, Fares Farhan also obtained a certification in Masterclass - Design For Agile from The Interaction Design Foundation in January 2020.
