Monique Lopez has work experience in various roles and organizations. Monique began their career at SGA Youth & Family Services in 2010 as a Family Support Specialist/Disability/ERSEA Coordinator, where they worked until 2011. In 2011, they joined Educare West DuPage as a Family Engagement Supervisor. Monique later took on the role of Assistant School Director from 2018 to 2020, and currently serves as the Director of School Operations.
Monique Lopez earned a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Early Childhood Administration from National Louis University, where they studied from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Human Services at Loyola University Chicago, finishing in 2007. In addition to their degrees, Monique also holds various certifications, including the Illinois Director Credential - Level 2 obtained in December 2020, the Erickson Institute International Fellowship in 2018, the UCLA Head Start Management Fellows Program in 2017, and the Family Specialist Credential - Level 5 obtained in December 2015.

Educare West DuPage is a model early learning school that serves 182 children from birth to five years old, 10 pregnant women and their families. Educare’s comprehensive program incorporates what science says young children need to flourish. Our dual-language program gives young children a solid foundation in English and Spanish. Educare West DuPage empowers parents through leadership programs and parent-child education, making them strong advocates for children and families. We offer embedded professional development to ensure teachers and family engagement staff continually refine and enhance their skills. We also partner with community organizations to offer even more opportunities for our children and families. The school is a public-private partnership and is funded through a mix of federal Head Start and Early Head Start funding, Illinois early childhood education funding and child care dollars, and private donations. Educare West DuPage is part of a national network of effective early childhood education schools. Educare schools make certain that young children from under–resourced communities have the best possible opportunity for success in life. Our rigorous research shows that Educare works–our students enter kindergarten with the school readiness skills they need to succeed.
