Ilona Dorji

Ilona Dorji is an experienced leader in international development and humanitarian assistance, currently serving as the Country Director for Caritas Schweiz, where lifesaving support is provided to vulnerable populations in the Gorom refugee camp. Previous roles include Programme Manager for a high-level financing conference at UNICEF, Grant Officer with The Global Fund for Afghanistan, and Senior Human Rights Advisor at the International Organisation for the Least Developed Countries. Ilona has held key positions across various organizations, including the EU Advisory Mission in the Central African Republic, Lutheran World Federation, UNHCR, and Finnish Red Cross. An accomplished educator, Ilona holds multiple degrees in International Politics, Business Administration, and Management from prestigious institutions, including the University of Geneva and Harvard Kennedy School.
