Rev. Dr. Tim Tharp is a dedicated pastor currently serving at First Congregational Church-UCC in Savage, MT, and has extensive experience in education and ministry. Since January 2023, Tim Tharp holds the position of Richland County Superintendent of Schools and has been an active pastor at First Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church since July 2018. Tim Tharp also contributes to public education as a board member of the Montana Board of Public Education, appointed by Governor Gianforte. In addition to pastoral duties, Tim Tharp serves as a chaplain at Sidney Health Center and holds a role as a commissioner for the Education Commission of the States. Tim Tharp has a diverse background in educational leadership, including past positions as a superintendent at Golva School and deputy state superintendent for the Montana Office of Public Instruction. Tim Tharp's educational qualifications include multiple advanced degrees in ministry, education, business administration, and mathematics from several institutions, including Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and the University of Montana.
