Adam Chu has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Adam started their career as a Corps Member and later became a Team Leader at Jumpstart, where they provided educational curriculum to young children and families. Adam then worked as a Researcher at Tufts University, conducting research on alcohol, aggression, and drug abuse in animal models.
Adam also served as an Intern at the Regional Center for Healthy Communities, where they provided technical assistance and logistical support for community health assessments. Adam later joined the EDC (Education Development Center), where they held multiple roles at the Suicide Prevention Resource Center. Adam started as a Prevention Specialist, delivering program support, training, and resources for suicide prevention initiatives. Adam then became a Senior Project Associate, overseeing the implementation of virtual meetings and managing resource evaluations. Adam'smost recent role at EDC was as a Project Director, where they led the Health and Behavioral Health Initiatives team and collaborated with healthcare systems to document the impact of the Zero Suicide framework.
Additionally, Adam has experience as a Soccer Coach, designing and implementing lesson plans to build soccer skills in youth ages 2-6. Overall, Adam's work experience showcases their expertise in suicide prevention, research, education, and coaching.
Adam Chu has a Master of Public Health degree in Community Health Sciences from the Boston University School of Public Health, obtained between 2010 and 2012. Adam also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology, with High Thesis Honors, from Tufts University, earned between 2003 and 2007. In addition, Adam has a certification in Understanding & Mitigating Implicit Bias from the EDC (Education Development Center), obtained in 2021.
